LEAKED VIDEO: WRTP Awards 2021 Plaque Finally Arrives in Ghana

Few weeks after the unveiling of the WRTP Awards 2021 plaque and the reason for the new design, Mp3xclusives.com has finally chanced on a leaked video of the Awards plaque. A short video of the awards plaque was posted on the CEO of Ex-one Entertainment’s WhatsApp status captioned “Finally the plaques are in” but was deleted shortly but we did due diligence before the needful was done.

CEO of Ex-one Entertainment, Mr. Isaac Mensah in his last briefing disclosed that the Western media personalities are the stars of the region, they project everything happening here to Ghana and beyond. Therefore, they deserve to be honoured with a star-shaped plaque that will reflect who they are and what they do.

 

However, in the leaked video, the plaque we saw looks completely different. It’s similar to that of the 2020 edition. We haven’t been able to confirm if that is indeed the plaque for the WRTP Awards 2021.

The Western Radio and Television Personality (WRTP) Awards plaque has changed over the past years. The previous plaque had a pentagon shape on a base all made of glass with a leaf stalk on it. The new plaque is supposed to be a 5-sided star-shaped design with the WRTP Awards logo in the middle on a golden base.

Ex-One in an exclusive interview with Mp3xclusives.com stated that the personalities in the region are our stars therefore they deserve a plaque designed in that regard to match the purpose but what we saw was a sharp contrast of that.

Announcement for the shortlisted nominees for the various categories in this year’s contest was done on Friday, September 24, 2021, at New Day TV.
