Ghanaian President, Nana Akufu-Addo Finally Speaks On The Brutalities Happening in Nigeria

After several calls on the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu-Addo who also doubles as the ECOWAS chairman by politicians, celebrities, and social media users in and outside Ghana to intervene in the brutalities happening in Nigeria, the president has finally spoken.

He tweeted saying he prefers the use of dialogue in resolving the current impasse in Nigeria. He has also gone further to speak to the president of Nigeria, Muhamadu Buhari, in a telephone conversation and has begun a process that will lead to reform.

In another tweet, Nana Akufu-Addo reiterated that violence, be it on the part of the protesters or the police can never be the solution, therefore, he is urging for calm as they try to bring the situation under control.

Nigeria has for some days experienced brutal killings of unarmed protestors in the #EndSars #EndPoliceBrutality campaigns in some states. Others have also sustained various degrees of injuries.
